Sakshi is soon to be a dually qualified lawyer in India as well as Alberta, Canada with offices in both jurisdictions.

Legal Practice in India

Sakshi Doda is an Indian licensed lawyer who primarily practices Intellectual Property Law, Banking and Corporate Law in India. Sakshi completed her bachelor’s in law from University of Delhi in the year 2017.

Sakshi became a member of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in 2017 and since then appeared from District Courts, Consumer Commissions, National Company Appellate Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Supreme Court of India.

During her practice as an associate lawyer at Bagga and Dewan Associates, Sakshi gained experience in versatile areas of law including civil, criminal, banking, corporate and intellectual property.

Legal Practice in Alberta, Canada

In 2022, Sakshi moved to Canada to become a dually qualified lawyer. In 2023, Sakshi joined Wilson Laycraft (a law firm in Alberta) as a paralegal and later worked there as a student-at-law. During her term as a student, Sakshi gained experience in personal injury, employment, taxation, corporate transactional work and other miscellaneous legal matters at Wilson Laycraft.

Sakshi also regularly appeared before the Court of King’s bench, Calgary, Alberta, during her terms as a student for various contentious and non-contentious matters.

Sakshi is scheduled to be called to the Bar in Alberta and aims to provide legal research and legal support services to lawyers and law firms in Alberta.
